Tips & tricks: How to reuse your leftover wax

If you have read our post ‘How to easily remove leftover wax from your reusable cups‘, then you may be left wondering what to do with that wax. It would be a shame to throw it away, so definitely don’t. Instead, break up the wax into smaller pieces and feed those to the next pillar candle or tealight you burn (this method isn’t suitable for dinner candles as you need a pool of melted wax large enough to hold the broken up pieces).

To do this, start burning your candle and leave it until a pool of melted wax forms. Now you can slowly start adding the small pieces of wax into the melted pool. Make sure not to burn yourself! I like to use the back part of a match stick to push the wax pieces into the pool. This method will not affect your burning candle, but if you add too many wax pieces at once, the wax pool might end up covering your burning wick, so it’s best to do this slowly.
